Abortion Rights vs. Birth Rights

It seems, according to P.R. Lockhart's article in Mother Jones Magazine that Texas is disregarding "all scientific knowledge in it's latest attack on abortion rights", but the truth of the matter is never revealed.  It is a perfect example of how "debate arises when truth is hid from sight."*

The truth, as it so often seems to be, was buried under a blanket of opinions.  Why is the truth hidden about abortion rights, and how can we find it?  Why does debate continue to persist on this subject?  Forget about the science, the opinions, the religious dogma, the pissed off Texans or any of the distractions that hide the truth.  Set them aside for a moment, and let's see if we can reveal the truth buried beneath them:

The whole truth, which has been hidden from sight, is:

Human beings have no Birth Rights.

Why?

Why are women and their partners punished for creating new life?
Why are children - born and unborn - punished for being created or born?

Forget about your right as a woman to choose whether or not to kill your unborn child.  Step back from it for a minute, and look at the whole truth.  You live in a world that causes you to feel you must kill your unborn child in order for you to be accepted and/or considered successful by society.  As a woman, you live in a world that says you must pay for the right to create and give birth to new life, and be punished if you can't.  If you don't have the job, the house, the car, the money, the partner, or some combination thereof, you are considered to be an irresponsible burden upon society.  The thought of being ostracized, ridiculed, shamed and abandoned is so terrifying, you demand the right to kill your unborn child rather than suffer the consequences of giving birth to it.  That's how much the world values women and children.  That's the truth that lies buried beneath the dogma and theories and opinions.

Why do we worship the money to the point that we deny women and their partners the right to create a child and give birth, free from persecution or punishment?  Why do we worship the theories of science to the degree that we will vilify anyone who disagrees with it? Why do we worship religious dogma so much that we would abuse and neglect women and children rather than defy their half-truth edicts?  We've been doing it for centuries.  Look throughout history and you will see millions upon millions of women and their children who have been outrageously punished, murdered, ostracized, deprived of food and shelter, shamed, ridiculed, beaten and tortured for nothing more than being born and/or giving birth.  What a horrific tragedy.

As a Woman and a Mother, I cannot sit silently for one more moment while the world continues to punish:

1.) Women for giving birth.
2.) Fathers for co-creating new life.
3.) Children for being conceived.

This is why I am developing The Mother+Land Project.  To give Women and Men the right to be Mothers and Fathers, free from the devastating demands of commerce, religion and science.  To give children the right to be born into a world that worships them over the tyranny of dogma, theory and profit.  To provide a way for humanity to divest from all that seeks to destroy it and that which gives them life.

Why are humans the only species of life that has to pay for the right to be born… the right to be nourished… the right to be loved?  Isn't it time we stopped talking about our right to kill unborn children, and start talking about our right to create, nourish and love them?  Isn't it time we started talking about our Birth Rights?

Free Land + Mothers = Nourished Families, Happy Communities and a Healthy Planet.
