The Perfect Rest of Being
The perfect rest of being…. this is what happens when we are allowed to live free of charge. Being free to live upon the land without the restraints and obligations to pay for the right to do so doesn't mean you stop doing. It means that your 'doing' is is now free to be nourished by the perfect rest of being. You are allowed to be. You are allowed to be a sister, daughter, mother, brother, son, father….. You are allowed to be a friend, a neighbor, and grandparent. You are allowed to be in alignment with life - real and natural life. You do not have to conform to rigid schedules that tell you when to wake up, when to get in your car and drive to work, when to take time off and rest, when to go to sleep, shower, eat, play…. When you are given free land, you will still be doing - indeed, you will probably be doing more than you've ever done in your life, but it will be nourished by the perfect rest of being. Your 'doing' will be in alignment with the rhythms of the natural world. You will rise in the morning to the sound of the birds chirping in your pear tree rather than the jarring sounds of an alarm clock. You will gather with your family in the gentle morning light to sip a warm cup of tea. There will be no rushing, packing or preparing to leave your home to earn or learn the right to live. You will stroll the garden with your beloved children, plucking ripe raspberries dripping with dew. You will play down by the pond and return with fresh fish to enjoy with your neighbors. For free! This, and so much more will be your doing, and it will be nourished by the perfect rest of being.
